Breaking even all day long

Decided to play a mini session tonight, as it would count for my Ironman points tomorrow, and tomorrow is the superbowl. Don't know if I'll play too much tomorrow, but I'll definitely play enough to hit 100 points on the day, as I already got most of them tonight.

Not a great session but yet again not due to my play. Roughly break even, and a whole lot of folding. I lost one hand early on in the session and made some back CBing, but other than that rather boring and short. Blah. Here's a hand:

Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 9 Players
LeggoPoker.com Hand History Converter

BTN: $12.40
SB: $25.40
BB: $9.40
UTG: $10.20
UTG+1: $10.15
Hero (UTG+2): $25.10
MP1: $25.60
MP2: $26.60
CO: $20.40

Pre-Flop: Ac Ks dealt to Hero (UTG+2)
UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, MP1 calls $1.25, 5 folds, UTG calls $1

Flop: ($4.10) Ah 5h 8s (3 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $3.50, MP1 raises to $9, UTG folds, Hero calls $5.50

Turn: ($22.10) 5s (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $15

Results: $22.10 Pot ($1.10 Rake)
MP1 mucked and WON $21 (+$10.75 NET)

I wanted to fold on the flop, but part of me said that was just a little too nittish. I was hoping to get to showdown cheap at this point, but then that wasn't possible. The one fact that made me contemplate a call was a FH or quads (which is what he was repping on the flop, a set) would probably slow play here, as they would want the flush to hit. He was playing so aggressively it seemed like he was trying to protect his hand, which led me to believe A8 perhaps. However I can't imagine too many hands being played this way other than Ax, so maybe I should have called. Now that I'm looking at it, I'm pretty sure everyone slows down here with a FH or quads, hoping for the flush to hit. Ahh well, I'm learning.

If you're interested in the true boringness of this session, my biggest wins and losses were both $4, excepting the hand posted above. Blah.

Session: -$2 -- 354 Hands
Overall: $449.60-- +$143.50 -- 11,650 hands
